The Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing from October 17th to 18th. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Building an Open, Inclusive and Interconnected World for Common Development".

In the evening of October 18th, the lists of deliverables of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was released in Beijing. The "Belt and Road" International Medical Education Alliance initiated by CMU has been included in the list of multilateral cooperation deliverables, which is the only project in Liaoning province included in this list.
Since its establishment in 2018, the "Belt and Road" International Medical Education Alliance has expanded from 15 countries and 48 institutions to covering 24 countries and 92 institutions. It has entered a new stage of development which has transitioned from quantity increase to quality improvement with sustainable development and substantial cooperation.

Member institutions have carried out a number of educational exchange and cooperation activities, including Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms, joint school running, overseas students cultivation for degree programs and short-term exchange within BRI countries, the "TCM sub-platform", medical technology training e.g. Training Course of Mobile Cabin Hospitals Application in Public Health Emergencies for BRI Countries, "Cloud Class" project, "Vice President Institution of the Month” activity, and annual high-level education conference in the hope of driving innovative development of medical education.

The cooperation platform builds a solid bridge of friendship between peoples, making unremitting efforts towards a shared community of human health with practical actions, thus making positive contributions to high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".
